Drug addicts in the hallway: how to get rid of them, where to complain, dealing with neighbors who use drugs

/ Narcology news / Drugs – where to report illegal activities

The real scourge of the 21st century, which has claimed no less lives than cancer and AIDS, is, of course, drug addiction. A drug addict is ready to do anything for a new dose: murder, robbery, violence - anyone can become a victim of such a person. Making illegal drugs at home can turn into a tragedy for all neighbors and people living nearby. Many crimes committed under the influence of drugs might not have happened if vigilant citizens had promptly reported information about the sale or sale of drugs to the relevant authorities.

Unfortunately, many sites on the Internet advise seeking help from the Federal Drug Control Service. However, this information is outdated. Back in 2016, such a service was disbanded according to the order of the President of Russia. Now this issue is being dealt with by the Main Directorate for Drug Control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. This article will provide up-to-date information on this issue.

How to get rid of drug addicts in the entrance and in the yard

First of all, you need to behave correctly with such people:

  • Try not to enter into any contacts, do not borrow money, do not teach life.
  • Don't try to fight them on your own. This can put your life and your loved ones at risk. Let the professionals do it.
  • Always keep the door and window locked, even if you just go into a neighboring apartment for a moment.
  • If you hear a suspicious noise at the entrance (namely, a crowd of drug addicts), do not even think about going out and arguing with them. Call the police and stay home until they arrive.
  • Make sure your entrance and yard are well lit. This will be safer for everyone.

But if you can see that your neighbor is feeling unwell, then be sure to call an ambulance, do not leave the person in trouble.

What can you do to protect yourself from such neighbors? How to get rid of them?

  1. Team up with other residents of the entrance.
  2. Connect the district police officer and the management company.
  3. Write a collective complaint to the police, prosecutor's office, and the Federal Drug Control Service.

Anything related to drugs carries penalties that are among the most severe in administrative and criminal law. For use, you face an administrative fine of 4–5 thousand rubles. For the manufacture, storage and sale of drugs - criminal liability in the form of imprisonment. Expulsion from the state – if we are talking about stateless persons and foreign citizens.

Drug addicts make bookmarks at the entrance, where to go

Communication via the Internet has made it possible to sell drugs without personal contacts. Small distributors have never seen a large dealer. The buyers themselves do not know who they buy them from. The World Wide Web has provided complete anonymity for the sale of narcotic drugs.

Bookmarks are made in a variety of places: in parks, squares, playgrounds, in entrances.

It happens that drug addicts who do not have money for a dose simply search all possible places in search of someone else’s “treasure”.

If you are faced with a similar situation, then there is only one piece of advice - do not interfere. Don't swear, don't threaten the police. Pass by. And from your apartment, call the police at 02. If you call on a cell phone, dial 102.

If you find a suspicious bag in your entrance, do not touch it with your hands under any circumstances. Report this to the police and pay attention to all suspicious persons who will be nearby until the law enforcement officers arrive.

Distributors often write on houses, sidewalks, and entrances the addresses of the sites through which they trade. Therefore, if you see on the wall of a house (any house, not just yours) the address of some website written in white paint, then inform the police and the management company of this house. This might save someone's life.

Unfortunately, it happens that the police do nothing in response to calls. Or the measures she took did not have any results. What to do then? What other organizations are involved in drug trafficking? This:

  • prosecutor's office;
  • Federal Service for Drug Control;
  • Main Directorate for Drug Control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia;
  • international and federal public organizations.

The addresses and telephone numbers of these services in the regions can be found on the Internet by typing the name of the organization into the search bar.

Open appeal

Today, many public organizations have joined the fight against the distribution and possession of drugs. Many sites offer the opportunity to anonymously report drug dealers and drug dens. To leave such a request, you must fill out the following fields:

Have a question for a lawyer? Ask now, call and get a free consultation from leading lawyers in your city. We will answer your questions quickly and try to help with your specific case.

Telephone in Moscow and the Moscow region: +7

Phone in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region: +7

  • Name, you can specify any name, not necessarily your real name or nickname;
  • telephone number, it will not be visible in circulation;
  • E-mail address;
  • the city in which drug distribution occurs;
  • a heading, in which you can briefly indicate the information indicated in the main part of the appeal;
  • description of the situation; this will be the main part of the appeal, which will be visible to all site visitors. Here it is necessary to describe in detail the essence of what is happening. It is allowed to indicate the address where the drug distributor lives, his personal data, telephone numbers and other specific information regarding the fact of criminal acts.

Responsibility for denunciation that does not correspond to reality

Anyone who wants to write a statement or report to the police about violations of the law, accusing a specific citizen, must be completely confident in their information. Every time you send a letter or appeal, you must remember the criminal liability for giving a knowingly false denunciation, which is regulated by Article 306. The following sanctions are possible as punishment:

  • the amount of the fine is not more than 120 thousand rubles;
  • withholding income received by the convicted person for 1 year;
  • imposing an obligation to perform mandatory work within two years;
  • forced labor for a similar period;
  • detention for a period not exceeding 6 months;
  • detention in a colony for two years.

If a citizen has unreasonably accused a person of committing a grave or special grave crime, which includes distribution and possession of drugs in large quantities, then the following sanctions are possible as punishment:

  • the amount of penalties may vary from 100 to 300 thousand rubles;
  • as an alternative to a fine, the convicted person may be withheld from the amount of income received by him for a period of up to two years;
  • the period of forced labor can be 3 years;
  • the maximum period of detention imposed as the most severe punishment is three years.

If a citizen becomes a witness or participant in the distribution of narcotic substances, he must report the drugs to the relevant government agencies. If you have concerns for your life or health, you can do this anonymously.

Law enforcement agencies will definitely take appropriate measures, the only thing the applicant will not receive is an official response from the structure of the recipient of the application.

Neighbor is a drug addict: what to do, is it possible to evict him?

One way to protect yourself and your loved ones from dangerous neighbors is eviction.

If the apartment is rented, then you need to call the owner and make sure he knows what is happening in his living space.

If the apartment is rented under a social tenancy agreement, it will be more difficult to evict. But probably. The basis will be the following facts and documents:

  • numerous calls to the police;
  • characteristics of the district and HOA;
  • certificate from the drug dispensary.

First, authorities are required to order compulsory treatment. If a person refuses treatment, or after discharge he continues his activities, then he is threatened with forced eviction.

In special cases, the court may deprive property rights. What are these cases? Constant brawls, running a drug den, unsanitary conditions, refusal to make repairs, which can cause the whole house to suffer.

How to calm a drug addict

People who use drugs can pose a real threat to the lives of others. Therefore, when speaking, weigh your every word. Look him in the eyes and retreat at the first sign of anger.

Do not try to calm him down on your own, as this is impossible to do. Only qualified medical assistance will help here.

Don't make any contact with him first. If you have children, be sure to talk to them and explain that this person is dangerous.

A person under the influence of drugs is inadequate. If he begins to experience withdrawal symptoms, he often becomes aggressive.

Neighbors say that you are a drug addict, how to protect yourself

If your neighbors are slandering you or accusing you of drug addiction, first of all, decide for yourself whether you care what they think. If not, then just live your life.

If this causes serious inconvenience, there are several ways to protect yourself:

  • first, just talk to your neighbors, tell them about yourself and your friends, assure them that you are a supporter of a healthy lifestyle;
  • take a certificate from the drug dispensary, it is better to provide it immediately to the local police officer;
  • if a hidden war continues against you, you can be prosecuted for slander and dissemination of knowingly false information.

If you have a drug addict in your home, entrance, or family, remember that drug addiction is a disease. The disease is terrible, but, with great desire, it is curable. And the main task of the whole society is not to condemn these people, but to help get rid of this bad habit.
